Kris Lott Artist

Kris Lott is a Whanganui local and a graduate from Whanganui UCOL, where she studied Visual Arts. In the early 2000s, she completed a Diploma in Glass production and Design.

Born and raised in rural Whanganui, Kris still lives and works on the family farm where she works in a small home studio, but soon hopes to "expand”.

“ My current series of drawings has been developed using blind contour drawing, a warm-up exercise that I want to push further. Much of my work has been inspired by the body, and how it is perceived and presented. I enjoy bringing out a sense of character in my work, and I like to have fun with it.”

Kris is always keen to try new things, from glasswork to bookbinding. She likes to get hands-on and figure things out.
